Caroline Newling-Ward is director of Lancombe Country Cottages & Lodges, an independent holiday retreat located in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Since taking over the business in December 2013, she has built it into a popular family resort that attracts guests all-year round.
Lancombe’s on-site accommodation includes six well-presented holiday cottages, three lodges, and four luxury shepherd huts, sleeping anywhere between two and six people. Over the past four years, Newling-Ward has added an indoor swimming pool, outdoor play area and games room to the site, with children able to hunt for fairies in the surrounding woodland.
Like all businesses, Lancombe has had to contend with some unexpected costs, and in January 2017, Fleximize stepped in to help Newling-Ward fund some essential maintenance work. Recognizing the potential of Newling-Ward’s business, and with her bank refusing to lend, Fleximize put together a funding package that was tailored to the company’s unique requirements.
